I strive to be the complete maker; taking a project from start to finish including the moulding and casting of my sculptures.  Here are some images from the making process.

Figure for "Oh the places you'll go" triptych

Two-part Silicone mould with three-part Jesmonite jacket.  Arms were removed and moulded seperately.  The birds were also individually sculpted and moulded seperately.  The final sculpture was cast in Resin Bronze.

And the moulding of the birds....

Moulding of one of the heads for middle pannel of triptych.

The back panels were moulded in a smilar way, but on a much bigger scale.

The supporting jacket for the silicone moulds required reinforcement, making them strong enough to withstand the force placed upon them during the seperation processes.  The bronze resin panels were cast out.

Half-life Figurative Sculpture

After being sculpted from life in clay, this piece was moulded using a plaster waste mould process and cast in Cement Fondu.
